Follow Clara on a magical Christmas adventure in this musical retelling of The Nutcracker ballet push the button on each beautiful scene to hear the vivid sound of an orchestra playing from Tchaikovsky’s score. It is Christmas Eve at Clara’s house. Scents of ginger, chocolate, and peppermint waft through the air. Clara’s parents are having a party, and her little brother Fritz is decorating the Christmas tree. Claras godfather, a toymaker, arrives with gifts, including a very special one for her a wooden nutcracker carved in the shape of a little man. After Fritz breaks it, the children are sent to bed. The story follows Clara in her dreams as she battles and defeats a mouse king, then travels with her nutcracker-turned-prince to the Land of Sweets where she watches its enchanting inhabitants perform beautiful dances. As you and your little one journey through the magical scenes, you will press the buttons to hear 10 excerpts from the ballets music, including“The Waltz of the Flowers, “The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, “The Russian Dance, and the awesome “Finale. At the back of the book, find a short biography of the composer, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, with details about his composition of The Nutcracker ballet. Next to this, you can replay the musical excerpts and, for each of them, read a discussion of the instruments, rhythms, and musical techniques that make them so powerful. A glossary defines musical terms. The Story Orchestra series brings classical music to life for children through gorgeously illustrated retellings of classic ballet stories paired with 10-second sound clips of orchestras playing from their musical scores.

When your order ships
Orders placed by 12pm (AEST) on a business day are dispatched the next business day; orders placed after 12pm are dispatched the following business day. Our warehouse is closed on public holidays, and busy periods can add a day or two.

Tracking your order
When your order is dispatched, we email you an Australia Post tracking number, which you can follow at auspost.com.au.
Changes and addresses
To change or cancel an order, or to fix a delivery address, email hello@littlestoriesofyou.com straight away with the subject "Urgent – Order Change" or "Urgent – Address Change" and your order number. Orders are packed quickly, so we can't always catch them in time. If a parcel comes back to us because of an incorrect address, we'll issue store credit for the value of the products, less shipping costs.
Duties and taxes
Orders sent outside Australia may attract import taxes or duties, which are paid by the recipient and aren't included in your order total. If import charges are refused and the parcel returns to us, we'll issue a credit note for the value of the products, less shipping paid and $10 for return postage.

Change of mind or wrong size
We're happy to exchange full-price items for another size or style within 14 days of delivery, as long as they're unworn, unwashed, and have their tags and original packaging. You pay the return postage, and standard shipping on the replacement. Please use a tracked service and keep your proof of postage, as we can't exchange items we don't receive.
Sale and sample-sale items can't be exchanged for change of mind, and we don't offer refunds for change of mind.
Faulty or wrong item
If something arrives faulty, or we've sent the wrong item, email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We'll email you a prepaid return label, then offer a refund, repair or replacement. This includes sale items.
Refunds
Approved refunds are paid to your original payment method within 10 business days of us receiving the item. Your bank may take a few extra days to show it.
Gift cards
Gift cards can't be refunded or exchanged.
How to start a return or exchange
Email hello@littlestoriesofyou.com with the subject "Return – [your order number]" and tell us what you'd like to do. We reply within 2 business days.
Linen naturally has small slubs and variations in the weave. These are part of the fabric's character, not faults.
This policy doesn't affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
